Shell cordiate, much inflated, longitudinal, minutely and longitudinally ribbed; flattened before and behind, ridged along the umbonial slope; substance of the shell rather thick; beaks large, recurved; cicatrices impressed; cavity of the shell very deep; margin minutely crenulate macre somewhat pearly.
