Genus II Kyllingia, Linnaeus.
(In honor of Peter Kylling, a Danish botanist.
Spikelets compressed; scales about 4, two ranked,
the two lower minute and empty; style long, 2-cleft,
achenium lenticular; spikes numerous densely aggrigated
into 1 to 3 roundish, ssessile heads; involucre mostly 3-leaved.
