66. SEED CATALOGUE AND GARDEN GUIDE.

CANNA--These very handsome, tall-growing, tropical-looking plants are unrivaled for fine effects on the lawn; their large, glossy green leaves, tinted with red, purple or bronze, and their showy spikes of flowers in various shades of red and yellow produce an effect seldom equalled. They are remarkably effective when edged by a row of Caladiums:
--Bronze--A large handsome foliaged variety with large rich bronze colored leaves and red flowers. Very fine... 15.
--Tall Red-flowered--Green foliage... 15.
--Mixed Varieties and Colors--Contains a splendid assortment; per doz. $1.10... 10.
CINNAMON VINE--This beautiful climber possesses the rare quality of emitting from its flowers the delightful odor of the cinnamon, and very appropriately called the "Cinnamon Vine." Perfectly hardy, the stem dying down every autumn, but growing again so rapidly in the spring as to completely cover any trellis or arbor very early in the season. It is propagated from small bulblets, which will make from 10 to 20 feet of vine, and with its beautiful heart-shaped leaves, bright green peculiar foliage, and clusters of delicate white flowers, sending forth a delicious cinnamon odor, render it by far one of the most desirable climbers in cultivation. 50c. per doz... 5.
DAHLIAS--We have a large collection of these exceedingly showy and grand fall flowers, and can furnish almost any color desired. They comprise all the most gorgeous shades and colors imaginable. Our mixture contains a good proportion of the best scarlet, yellow and white varieties besides the many other shades which are most popular; per doz. $1.50... 15.

GLADIOLUS--We wish especially to call your attention to our list of Gladoli, the most desirable of all bulbs, and claimed by many well acquainted with their wonderful and varied beauty to be the flower of all flowers. To have the immense spikes of bloom develop in the greatest perfection they should be cut when the first four flowers open; place them in water nearly up to the lower flower, and the entire spike will develop into the greatest loveliness, lasting from a week to ten days.
To have a constant succession of flowers the bulbs should be planted at intervals from the middle of April until the first of July.
We cannot too highly recommend our mixed Gladiolus, growing them on our own farm. They have been carefully selected from choice varieties and embrace a truly magnificent variety of beautiful colors. We believe our collection of named varieties (all our own growing) is the finest to be found in the state. Note our low prices.
--Arsinoe--Fine satiny rose, flamed with bright carmine... 10.
--Brenchleyensis--Deep vermillion scarlet. 5.
--Ceres--Large strong spikes of bloom well laden with flowers of a beautiful blush white, marbled and striped with rose and carmine... 10.
--Eugene Scribe--Light pink, glazed with carmine; flowers very large and perfect. Large full spikes nearly round. Edge curled, making it appear fringed. This is one of the most beautiful of the Gladioli and cannot be praised too highly; all should try it... 10.
--Flavia--Handsome bright red... 10.
