With your senses awake to what is about or within you open conversation with yourself; for such is the nature of all meditation. But it is, however, a conversation not in words alone but illustrated with imagined diagrams and aided by inhibited gestures, or their equivalent; words, images, and gestures being here representative of the three classes of signs, in the most visually pertinent of all the divisions of signs. Different people have wonderfully different ways of thinking; and it would be quite beyond my competence to say what courses "Musements" might not take.
