As I sat thinking what I could say on this fiftieth anniversary the words of Longfellow written for the anniversary of his class, came to me and with these words would I greet you
"What then? Shall we sit idly down and say the night hath come; it is no longer day?
The night hath not yet come; we are not quite but off from labor by the failing light;
Something remains forever
