her account for professional services.
Afternoon Helen B Lea sent up from
"Bloomfiled" for me & I walked down
to see little Robt: who I hope is not
much amiss. She expects to start
for home tomorrow. Dora walked
over to "Eldon" with Fanny Peirce
before dinner. I went after her
towards evening & met her on the

Clear & slightly "hazy", but
beautiful autumn weather. I
drove over to see Emeline Hopkins
again & brought her back with me
for some medicine for her. Helen B
Lea left for home (Lawrence Mass:).
Towards evening I drove to Ashton
for some coal oil medicine etc
Edwd with me. Sister Lizzie was
here in the afternoon.

Another lovely autumn day.
The leaves on the trees have "turned"
very rapidly within the past few
days. We all spent a quiet day
at home, except that Edwd took
a walk with the friends next door
this afternoon. There has been a
great deal of travel past here
to day, the fine weather & roads
bringing many persons out to drive.
There has not been a single caller
here either social or professional
which is very unusual. "Turner" from
"Marden" was here after dark for more
medicine for Beatrix Tyson who leaves
home for New York & England tomorrow.
