Quite cold this morning.
I drove up to "Marden" & made a
friendly call. Eleanora came
& washed for H. Lavinia Awkard
sent for more advice & medicine
for two of her daughters. "Gus"
Hopkins was here afternoon. also
Mary Tasko at supper time.
I started sister Harriet's box of
preserves by the afternoon stage
E Gilpin taking it in charge
promising to ship it fromLaurel by
Express. "C.O.D." as she requested.

Ther.49o WEDNESDAY 28th Wind N.W.
Beautiful autumn day. Jas:
A. Bryan was here for advice & medicine
for himself & wife. Afternoon
I took Harriet & Dora over to call at
"Homewood" & Eldon" driving "Frank" to
the "Surry". Rose Murphy (colored) was
here with her infant for advice etc
after dark. Mrs Chas: Stabler was
here to see Harriet this morning.
I walked up to the store & P.O. after
supper. Mailed postal card to sister
Harriet.

I was sent for to see Mrs Rodney
Boswell again, and drove down
to their place. Mr Jas Duck going
with me. Afternoon he left
Mrs Robison's & returned to
Mrs: Ellicott's at Brighton who is to
return with her daughter from their
"summer outing" tomorrow.

Ther. 66 FRIDAY 30th Wind N.W.
I drove down to Ashton
before dinner for some medicines.
Afternoon I took Harriet & Dora over
to "Riverside", calling at "Bloomfield"
to see Helen B Lea, who had gone to "Eldon",
where we also called as well as at
"Homewood" for a few minutes. we reached
home soon after 4. o'clock.
