Ther. 82o WED. AUG. 10th, 1892 Wind N.W.
Thermometer stood at 85o on the bureau
in our bedroom at 1-25 this a.m.
and it is extremely hot today, not
withstanding a fine breeze. Sarah
Stabler, Bro: R & Orvin Painter called
before meeting. I drove to Ashton
& to see Eleanora's child ("Phil" with
me) Bro: Chas & son "Fred" called
Afternoon it looked like having
a thunder strom, but it passed
around north of us, but May come
back during the night. Willie was
in the store helping them afternoon
& evening.

Ther. 82o THURSDAY 11th Wind N.W.
Clear & Cloudy with a
light shower about 10. o'clk a.m. I
drove down to see Eleanora Bell's
two children & Alcorn's infant.
Willie went into the store again
this morning. The continued hot
weather is hard upon us all.
Clifford Waters came & took tea with
us, after which he & Willie went to
"a dance" at Olney Grange Hall
expecting to return & spend the balance
of the night here. Mary Gilpin called
after supper. Thunder storm passed
north of us again this evening.

Willie came home from the
dance at Olney at about 3. o.clk this
a.m. I drove down to Ashton to see Bell's
children & also Alcorn's. Afternoon
I took H & sister H in the "Surry"
over to call at Thos Lea's & home
to supper. Melville Parker took
tea with us. Miss M Colt brought
sister Beulah to call here. After
supper Mary J Kirk called to see
sister H. Sarah Hammond was
here for advice & medicine.
Ladia Thomas also here for
advice & med: for her daughter in law.

Ther. 75o SATURDAY 13th Wind N.W.
Clear & cool this morning.
I took Dora & Sister H in Surry
to Riverside to call, calling at
Bell's & Alcorn's to see their
Children. I went to see Sammy
Grady "(Cy" Grady's son.) I left
sister H at Riverside & brought Fanny
home with us to dinner to spend a
day or two with "Bessie". Afternoon I
drove over to Lydia Thomas' to
prescribe for Mary Thomas (her niece).
Edwd with me. Willie was in the
store all day . Saml Johnson was
here in evening, also Robt Blair who
cut my hair & I paid him $3.00 on an
old account leaving a balance of $1.15.
