Clear & Cloudy
Ther. 80 SATURDAY 30th Wind S.E.
I was quite unwell this morning,
Suffering from pain in bowel's
head ache & prostration from the
continued hot weather. Eli
Johnson was here for advice &
medicine for Sam. W went to
the store again. Mr: J A Williamson
was here & I took some medicines
& ordered some more to be
sent by express. Thunder storms
passed both north & south of us about
suppertime. We had a shower, and it
it looks & feels as if we would have
more storm during the night: it is
not much cooler - yet "Old Prob"
predicted a cold waive to day that has
not come to bless us so far.

The "Cold waive" promised us
as to arrive yesterday has not put in
an appearance as yet: It is slightly
cooler to be sure, but still very hot
& oppressive. Willie drove over
to Riverside and to Thos. Leas and
home towards evening. We had
quite a rain about supper time
with thunder & lightening which
cooled the air very considerably.
There was a colored camp meeting
at "Mt: Zion" and they have been
passing all day backwards &
forwards in all sorts of vehicles, all
loaded down with colored humanity
of all ages, sorts & shades of
color.
