Another extremely hot day -
Hilory Washington was here for
advice & medicine for himself and
"Lilly Awkard brought her infant
for advice & Sarah Wright was
here about dark for medicine etc
for her grandson Clandeses".
Thermometer 80 at sunrise and
95 at 2.30 p.m. in the shade.
I suffer very much from the heat.
Mrs Gideon Gilpin & her sister Mrs Scott
called after dark.

Ther. 81o TUESDAY 26 Wind Variable
Last night was too hot & close for
us to sleep well. Willie went to help
Henderson's haul a load of straw
"for bedding" from Harding's.

Ther. 83o WED. JULY 27th, 1892 Wind N.W.
Last night was fearfully hot again
thermometer 89o on bureau in our room
at 1.30 a.m. and 84 at sunrise. Willie
went into the store to help them for a few
days whilst "Clifford" is away. I was
sent for and drove over to prescribe
for "Sam" Johnson at his mother's
about 1-35 p.m. the hottest part of
the day "Phil" went with me. Edwd
rode "Frank" over to B D Palmer's
this morning & took a photograph
of their little boy - Lucy Hopkins
daughter of "Ned" here for advice
& medicine. A storm was 'brewing"
all the afternoon & came upon
us after dark at 8-30 and
after the extreme heat was quite violent
as was to be expected.

Clearing
Ther. 78o THURSDAY 28th Wind N.W.
The storm last night continued
until near mid night, it was
quite violent for two hours ; the wind
doing considerable damage it blew
down a locust tree at our front gate.
I drove over to see "Sam" Johnson
again. Edwd with me. Willie went
to the store again this morning to
help them. Mrs Chas Stabler was
here for advice & medicine.
