the opinion of the mtg in regard to the Co; having
a physician to the poor, he was appointed
to look into the subject & report at the next
mtg. Then adjourned to Clifton April 3rd

The Home Interest held its 333rd meeting in the
oldest home of its members John & Kate Thomas
April 3rd. The Grand father clock (with its weight
of 150 or more yrs) which came directly from
England, & was paid for in lbs shillings & pence
quite beamed upon the members who came in
a beautiful rain. If the old saying "April showers
bring forth May flowers" prove true this year the
earth will indeed be a bower of roses & like.
Ground daises will spring where her feet (rain
drops) press the ground. The Pres. being absent
Asa Stabler was asked to fill the chair which he
did in a very satisfactory manner.
Among the guests present were Mr & Mrs Janny
Shoemaker, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Snowden & Mrs
Chalfant. Either every one was full of knowledge
or the weather proved too much for them, the
sec'y could not tell which, for when asked
if they had a question they would put
on a most knowing look & answer No. The
poor sec'y was beginning to divise some
