We stopped to try the merits of some cherri[e]s which were
pronounced first-rate -- the pigs in a new and well built house
looked well & one very large blind sow was thought to be
too fat for this hot weather The truck patch was noticed
and thought to look well considering the drought -- It would
not do to pass the ventilator in the corn house wi[t]hout
noticing there was no corn arou[n]d it.

Qus [sic] 1st My Early Rose potatoes did not come up well shall I
replant with corn
Ans -- 15 would plant the ground with peach-blow potatoes
one would replant with beans 1 with Cabbage

2nd What shall I plant in place of Sugar beets.

3rd What style of horse shall we breed from
Ans. Most of those present would prefer a Percheron or
Canadian
