3rd Mo[nth] 23rd 1872 [March 23, 1872] Met at the house
of Wm S. Bond[' ]s, most of the members present at 4 P. M. when
Wm S. Brooke was appointed foreman; we received as usual at
this time the seed from the Agricultural Department, which were
distributed. R. M. Stabler taking the oats. all are desired to
report on the seed they took. The members all being present
except Charles H Brooke and having as guest Wm Lea Jr and
Benjn Howard of Penna we read the minutes of the meeting held
here 11th mo[nth] 5th 1870-- and proceeded to examine the place
The strawberries looked well and there was a nice lot of well
rotted manure in the garden ready for use when the frost gets out.
Just as we got to the stable the mule team came up which looked
firstrate although it was said they had done and [sic] unusual
amount of hauling this winter.
The cows looked very well -- we were not shown any pigs.
We went up to the bone mill (not to look over the rubbish
pile his but to examine a new pump
