1st Mo[nth] 20th 1872 [January 20, 1872] The Club met
at the house of P. T. Stabler's

Robert M Stabler was appointed fore man at 4.30 P. M.
when it was found1 that Wm S. Bond & Wm S Brooke were absent
and we had Edward C Gilpin & Dr Frank Thomas as guests

After reading the minutes of the meeting held here last
year we started out for a short walk, the circular saw was in
good order and set ready to saw the wood for the coming summer.
The Ice house was ready to receive the ice.

The pigs looked well and were supposed to be good feeders
as they pushed their sno[u]ts over the top board of the pen to
take what might be offered. The fodder was well ricked and the
cows looked as though they had been well attended, one part
Alderney heifer was thought by some of the members to show her
breed about the nose hips & ribs a little more plainly than
she would by her milk unless it should be by email quantiti[e]s

Two colts were shown one of which was considered a good
specimen
