We met at the House of Samuel
Hopkins, Wm S. Brooke was appointed
Foreman at Halfpast 5 Oclock &
after reading the minutes of the last
meeting at this place we started out
for a walk.

We first looked at some colts that
were near the house, 3 of them, each of
different Breeds, the percheron being
the favorite.

At the Barn we were shown the
mammoth Percheron Stallion, he being
exhibited to the best possible advantage.

Among the Cattle were some find
Alderneys, and a pair of fine fat oxen
that overweighed the estimate of many
good judges. In the same field and the
one adjoining were a number of Horses
& Colts, some very find ones. Our host
has an excelent chance to raise stock
having a great deal of good pasture, more
probably than any other member

We passed through the garden which promised
a fair supply of vegetables, & the flower garden
was very much admired. The Cherry trees
were visited on our way to the house, two
of our members coming in to help sample
them, and be in time to partake with
us, the bountiful supper that was provided
for us.
