The Club met at the house of Samuel Hopkins. P T Stabler R B Farquhar & W W Moore
were absent and we had company of W P Miller Edward Gilpin
& Gerard Hopkins. The disagreeable weather prevented our
going very far to look at the farm. We first visited the Barn,
where some of our members seemed to be astonished at the power
of Howard County Horses, 3 being able to pull 8 barrels of
corn into the barn over a sill a foot high.
We next saw a machine laying off corn rows 3 rows at a time
with two horses. Our party here divided and part went through
the grass field where found the before mentioned reaper.
Returning to the house some members cut grafts from several
trees which bore the very fine apples our host treated us to.
After reading the minutes the following questions were asked and
answered

1. What became of the premium offered last year for the best
Acre of Potatoes.
A. Fred Stabler is entitled to it.

2 Will it pay to give 1/8 for grinding corn for stock.
yes.

3 Is there any difference between common and White peach blow
potatoes.
