April 24th 1869
The Club met at Harewood
nearly all the members were present, we
has as guests Jas T. Moore & Wm Lea
Wm W Moore was appointed foreman
after reading the minutes of the last meeting
here we started on our usual round.
The first object that attracted our attention
was the garden & Ice house a committee was
appointed to examine the house who reported that
there was Ice in it. the garden lookes as if
it was well cared for. A free menagerie
was examined composed largely of colts of
great variety of shapes & colors. The Cattle
looked very well and were in good pasture
for so early in the season. The mowing field
was looking well, the Potato crop was planted
The model farm is not celebrated for potatoes
so our host does not raise many.
The corn ground was plowed but not
harrowed yet. After a very pleasant walk
over the level fields we returned to the house
by way of the Brick yard where we were shown
a good supply of brick, rather more than our
host would like to have on hand. The large
thatched roof was much admired by some of
our members, after partaking of an excellent
supper, quite a number of questions were
asked & answered, but owing to the
