NOVEMBER, MONDAY 28th 1887.

Commenced raining
after mid night last and
continued until about
noon today. Afternoon
it cleared off from N.W.
and grew much colder
I went up to the mill and
got a sack of flour.
Dora & Alice Perce expected
Willie to come
& take them to a "Sociable"
at Mrs S Farquhar's
but he did not come.
Jno W Johnson was here
after dark for medicine
etc. for threatened dysentary.

NOVEMBER, TUESDAY 29th 1887.

The first real cold morning,
and the change being so
sudden we feel it more, but
12o below freezing & a N.W. wind
blowing is cold weather. I
drove to Ashton befored dinner
& Afternoon I rode Fritz to
Jno Cook's below the toll gate
and called at Hettie Stabler's
as I came back. Josiah Hill
& Geo: Budd were here when I
returned, the former for advice
etc. Dora walked with
Alice Peirce to "Homewood"
before dinner & home to tea.
Edwd commenced going to
school to Mrs Robison, who
teaches her own children
every evening after supper.
Martha Pumphrey (from Alloway)
was here for advice & medicine in
the evening.
