OCTOBER, SATURDAY 15th 1887.

Beautiful day. Afternoon

& to Danl Bank's & down to
Jehu Bowen's. Martha A Wright
was here for advice & medicine
Willie took "Fritz" & the "spring-
wagon" and went over to Caleb
Pumphrey's lot (on Horace
Sedgwick place) for some corn
( 1. Barrel). Andrew Johnson
was here for advice etc.
Willie rode the mare down
to "Ednor" to see Geo Gibson
& Eugine Leizear he saw the
former who paid him $2.00
but the latter was not at home.
After supper Willie rode down
to Ashton to Mrs: Abell's for my
new pantaloons, and to pay her
for making both pair, his & mine
but they were not done: he then
went up to S.S. and bought some
dried beef. I made a coal fire
in the parlor for the first time this
fall, hoping ot keep it going all night.

OCTOBER, SUNDAY 16th 1887.

Heavy frost this morning
the first we have seen that
amounted to anything. I
felt unusually "stiff" and
rheumatic when I first got
out of bed. After breakfast
I drove down to Jehu Bowen's
W. going with me. Russell Stabler
called here to see W
early this morning. Bro R
called. Chas: Howard (from
"Johnny" Thoma's) brought little
girl (Carrie Howar) for advice
& med: Willie & I drove
over to Riverside & dined there
meeting Ernest & Minnie, and
Miss Georgie Rust, who were
spending the day there. Mrs:
Robison (from next door) being
alone, came in & took tea with
us. Danl Budds son called
& requested me to drive over
tomorrow morning to prescribe
for his little brother.
