September Tuesday 27th 1887

Isabella Platt was here &
had teeth extracted. Laura
Hill came with her & paid
me $1.00, due since June 8th.
Edward seemed to improve slowly.
Willie went to school to study
his "bookkeeping." Afternoon I
drove to Ashton for Murdock's
liquid food & for Edwd. Nelly
& Mrs. Cooney took tea here
Willie escorted them home
about 9 p.m. After we had
some music (singing, etc.)

September Wednesday 28th 1887

Mrs. Robison was into see
mee about "Bessie" & I went
in & prescribed for her again.
Lizzie Scott sent her colored
boy (Wm Thorn) to me to have
his wounds dressed he having
nearly severed two toes from
his right foot. Harriet got
Willie to drive her down in
the carriage to call upon Anna
B Parker at Bloomfield.
W then went to Ashton & brought
Bessie & Fanny home with him.
After dinner I drove to Ashton
for some "bacon" shoulder. W
went down with me & staid
to help Nelly move somethings
over to Kate Stabler's.
Charley & I set up the stove
in the parlor. After I had
gone to bed Jno W Johnson
came for me to examine
some pension papers for
him.
