AUGUST, SUNDAY 28th 1887.

Cool & pleasant. Bro. R
called on way to meeting.
Charley & Willie were at
home (except that W. took
Dora to E Peirce's after breakfast)
until after dinner when
Charley drove over to Riverside
(the colt to the road cart)
& W the bicycle with Russel
Stabler & Wil Thomas to the
colored "camp meeting," and
came home in time to go for
Dora after an early supper.
Charley brought Herbert and
came home after dusk.
I wrote to "Estelle" & took the
letter (togather with one from
H. to Ellie Wood) to the P. O.
Sister H & Uriah called on way
to take tea of "Sharon" & also on
way back to the Cottage.

AUGUST, MONDAY 29th 1887.

Charley took the "road cart"
to the shop to have it repaired.
I walked up to Sandy Spring
and paid "Waters" (tax collector)
the ballance of my taxes for
last year whole amount $15.39
having pre viously paid him $5.00.
I paid to day $10.39. I drove
over to Elijah Leizear's and
prescribed for & "treated" Mrs
L again. Charley drove
away "somewhere," taking
Herbert with him in the
"road cart." Afternoon Edwd
Kummer & wife & Annie Chandlee
called. I fixed Edw's
pigeon box. Charley drove Bulwar's
horse & the gray colt to
my buggy down to Wm Cauley's
& took Miss Fanny Rust to the
"dance" at Olney Grange Hall.
Herbert Kirk came from the
Cottage after supper to spend
the night here. Annie Rounds washed
for Harriet. I prescribed for her
daughter "Carry."
