AUGUST, FRIDAY 26^th 1887.

I felt quite unwell and
slept little or none last night
did not get up until the
family were done breakfast
Ned Hill was here again for
advice etc. Afternoon Charley
came home about supper time
from Elton & Riverside. After
supper Bro Chas came after
me to go to see Bro Richard
I drove over & prescibed for
him. Edward went to an
Entertainment at the Lyceum
going with the friends
from "next door." Nelly was
here after supper whilst I
was away.

AUGUST, SATURDAY 27^th 1887.

Sister Harriet walked here
from Chas Stabler's. I took her
back in the buggy & drove on
to Riverside to see Bro R again
called at Ashton & brought
little Fanny home with me
I drove over to Kitty Dorsey's
to see Louisa Well's daughter.
called at S Spring & got groceries
etc. Afternoon there was a "foot
race" in Rachael Gilpins field
there being 9 contestants. Thos
L Moore, Saml Wetherald, Edwd
Gilpin, Jas Jonatt, Wash. Chichester,
Willlie A Iddings, Frank
Hallowell, Guy Miller, and
Chichester beating
the field after which was a game
of base ball between Sandy Spring
& Howard County. Sandy Spring
beating the Howard Co nine.
I took little Bessie home after
supper, & Charley rode down to
see Jno C Bentley about the
colt he has been driving.
