Cloudy & warm. I
drove to M L Robert's
& walked over to G Matt
Bell's. went to Ashton
to see little Fanny_
Albert Chandlee called
& got some medicine.
& paid ballance of his
bill. Bro R brought
Hannah Chandlee to
make a call. Charley
drove the colt to the
"road cart" to Rockville
to meet a gentleman
from Georgetown. Edwd
Hopkins was here for me to sign
a death sertificate. Uriah and
Harriet Kirk went to Chas Stablers
Charley & "Mr Grimes" came to
a late dinner. We all went up
to Sandy Spring to see a game of
"base ball." Thunder Strorm
towards night. My "spectacles
that I feared were lost came
by mail to day.

After getting the gray colt
shod "behind" for the first time
Charley took Mr Grimes in the
road cart & went over into the
"upper neighborhood" to engage
fertilizers for the fall crops etc.
I took Ned Hopkins up to Allan
Farquhar's & had the certificate
of death for Adulla Ames certified
and drove from there to
M L Robert's and thence to
Elijah Leizears. came back
to Ashton & prescribed for
Fanny again: into the store
for medicine & home to dinner
After dinner I rode
over to Geo M Bells to see
his very sick infant. Annie
Rounds Budd washed and
ironed for H_
