AUGUST, THURSDAY 18th 1887.

Cloudy early this morning
but cleared off during the
day. I drove to Mrs Mary
G Tyson's and Gideon Gilpins
before dinner. Uriah Kirk
took Mary Gilpin's "Frank" and
took Sister H to Brook Meadows
& Riverside Afternoon I
drove to Ashton to see Fanny
again. Charles came from Riverside
in Mrs Ellicott's carriage
with Sister H & Mrs Pancoast and
daughter. Herbert having come
with his father: t hey all (except
Charley) went to "Fair Hill' to
supper. Willie drove Fritz to
Riverside for H's trunk.
Lydia Budd called & paid the
ballance of her bill. After
supper I was sent for and went
over & prescribed for Mary L
Roberts, who is threatened with
dysentery.

AUGUST, FRIDAY 19th 1887.

I drove to Sandy Spring and
went to see Mrs Gideon Gilpin
again, drove to Ashton to see
"Fanny"& from there to Sherwood
to prescribe for Mary Roberts
who I fear is a very sick woman.-
Afternoon Uriah and
Harriet Kirk came over from
Riverside driving Bro Rs horse
& buggy which we will keep all
night. After supper I walked
over to see Mary L Roberts
again. Herbert & Willie went
to Olney Grange Hall to a dance
Charles went to Riverside to
get Miss Pancoast and take
her to the dance, driving
the "Tom" horse. Willie brought
Jno Bentleys gray mare colt here
for Charles to use & try to "break"
to single harness. Mary Gilpin
called in the evening.
I went over to M L Roberts again
at 11-30 p m Uriah going with
me. Charley Willie & Herbert
got home about 2 o'clk a. m.
