AUGUST, TUESDAY 16th 1887.

I was called up at 1/2 past
1.o'clk this a.m on account
of Mrs: Ent. It rained at
intervals throughout the night &
I was quite unwell & intended
going to Rockville but am not
well enough. I drove to Ashton
and went to see little Fanny
again who is still quite sick
Bro Chas called afternoon
the young telegraph operator
took our carriage & went
to Laurel, driving C Hills
gray mare to meet & bring
home Willie & Herbert Kirk.
Perry Thomas was here for
advice & medicine. also
J Wesley Johnson. Willie
& Herbert arrived "all Right
about 9=30 p m. Willie
being pretty well used up from
having driven to Balto: & out to
Brooke Mills again & then to
Camden Station & to Laurel &
home. It was a hard days work

Ned Hill was here for advice
& med: Martha Tyson was
also here for advice etc. Elijah
Leizear called and women
from Ned Hopkins. I drove to
Ashton & called to see Fanny
again. also called at Rev: Ryland's
but found no one at home at the
latter place. drove to Elijah
Leizear's. Charles went with
me as far as Liezears & walked
from their gate to Riverside.
Bro Chas called & Herbert
went home with him to spend the
day. I drove to Ed Hopkin's &
sto Gideon Gilpin's. Afternoon
Willie went to a "Tournament"
at Spencerville with Ed Gilpin.
After supper Danl Youngham
was here to see Charley about
buying fertilizer. It commenced
raining about 9.o'clk pm.
