AUGUST, TUESDAY 9th 1887.

Rachael Hopkins was
here & had a tooth extracted
before breakfast. I went to
Gideon Gilpin's & reduced
a "strangulated" hernia for
him. After which I drove to
Rockville thinking it was
the day for the meeting of the
County Medical society, but
found it was to be on the 3d
tuesday in the month. I
dined with Dr E Anderson
and was very kindly & pleasantly
entertained by his
wife & family who are very
nice indeed & I enjoyed
myself very much. I reached
home about 4.35 p.m.
I went up & prescribed for Lizzie
Fairall. Geo Sprigg was
here for advice & med. for
his daughter "Kate Matthews."
Charly went to J J Jacksons
to see R E Retzer & came
home about 9.p.m .
