JULY, MONDAY 11th 1887.

Another lovely day with
fine breeze and much cooler
I drove to Ashton after dinner
for medicine, taking Haslup &
the mail down with me.
Afternoon Washington Bowie's
son was here to see Charley &
order for his father a "steel
mower" (Champion) Mrs Jack
Johnson was here for advice
& medicine.

JULY, TUESDAY 12th 1887.

Beautiful day but warmer
I drove over to Leizear's, Bro
Richd brought cousin Hannah
Chandlee over & left her to
make us a little visit. Charley
went to "Scott's Meadow" to a
rifle shooting match soon after
breakfast & home about 10-30
Afternoon I drove to Stanmore
to leave the books of the
Lyceum Co: with H.H. Miller.
Annie Rounds Budd was here
to see me about her daughter
"Carrie" Charley took the buggy
up to the "shop" and had Thos:
Marlow "cut" the front tires
he having cut the hind ones
about three weeks since.
"Uncle Henson" called to see me.
Old Kitty Kelly was buried at
the colored burying ground
this afternoon.
