JUNE, FRIDAY 17th 1887.

Charley took his mother
& aunt Ellie Wood in the
carriage to Jim Jacksons
to dine. I drove down to
Jarrett Lee's & to Kate
Stabler's. Mr Wm Brown
called here whilst I was
absent with little "Rob"
Leek. Isaac Hartshorne
also called after my
return & waited for the
stage which brought him
a "casting" from F.L Moores.
Elizah Leizear called
to see me. Joseph or "Joe" Hill
came for me to go to "Flech" Clark's
to prescribe for his minor brother
Edwd: or "Ned". after receiving
a note from Dr Nicholls who had
been attending him I went. We
had quite a rain about 4 p.m.
Harriet & party from Howard Co.
reached home about dark.

JUNE, SATURDAY 18th 1887.

I took Willie with me
&drove down to Jarrett Lee's
& from there to Elizah Leizear's
called at "Nelly's" and to Fletcher
Clark's to see "Ned" Hill again.
Afternoon Willie went over
to Riverside for
seed potatoes. After an early
tea Charley drove to Laurel
to meet S H Borden who was
to arrive there at 8 p.m
this evening. Ernest came
down from Elton after dark
expecting to take Borden
home with him but Charley
arrived with him soon after
ten o c'lk and it looked so
much like our having a
heavy thunder storm that
after much "bucking & filling"
they decided to remain all
night.
