June, Wednesday 15^th 1887

Edward suffered last night
with toothache & we slept
badly. Remus Hill was here
early & had tooth extracted,
Charley & Willie came home
about 10.o'clk. I drove
over to Leizears & called
to see Nelly's children at
Ashton. Afternoon Willie
took his mother & aunt Ellie
to "Homewood" & left them.
Ernest took Charley away
(driving two colts) & came back
& remained an hour or so and
he then drove home. Bro:
Charles called & smoked a
pipe with me. I drove over
to Homewood after supper &
brought H home with me.
Rachael Powell called &
paid me 1.00 on her mother's
account, & 25 cts on her own.

June, Thursday 16^th 1887

I took Harriet over
to Thos Leas & left her &
Edward to spend the day.
Came home to dinner, and
taking both horses &
Charley, drove down to Jarrett
Lea's. I stopped at
Ashton & C drove on to Brighton
& to bring his mother & aunt
Ellie Wood home. I left
the buggy at Marlow's to
have some repairs done.
Willie went to Riverside
early this morning to help
plant potatoes. Charley
brought his mother & aunt
home (the latter with a
"rousing "sick headache"
before supper. After tea
Charley brought the buggy home
& he & Willie went to a
concert at Brighton Grange
Hall. I recd a "telegram"
from J H Borden in N.Y.
announcing his coming on
Saturday night next.
