June, Saturday 11th 1887.

Great change in temperature,
it being quite cold
this morning, but clear &
pleasant with strong wind.
I drove over to Elijah Leizear's
taking Charley as far as
Philip J Stabler's where he
and Willie went to put up a
"Champion Binder ". Afternoon
Janey Smith was here for
advice & medicine for "sore
throat". I drove again down
to Ashton for sundries
taking Edwd with me. Alice
& Fanny Peirce came to
"Quarterly Meeting", Nelly took
tea here & Dora & the Peirce
girls walked home with her.
Mr Henthorn called to see
Charley. Wesley Johnson
was here. I wrote a letter
for Rosena Bowen to Hospital
in Washington.

June, Sunday 12th 1887.

"Quarterley Meeting day"
Jarrett Lee was here for advice
& medicine. Jim Jackson
& Richd Retzer brought
Letitia Jackson & Beulah
Romans & her two children
over to dinner. Richd Lea
also dined here. "Matt"
Bell came & I drove down
to see his little daughter.
Charley going with me.
he then went over to Riverside.
Willie rode away
on the "bicycle". Ernest
brought the carriage & double
lines home. Charley came with
him from Riverside & went back
there with him in his (Es') buggy.
to tea. Mrs Robison & Miss Mary
Fowler spent the evening here.
Walter Scott & wife called at
the gate to see Charley.
