Caleb Pumphrey was here
to see Charley early this morning.
Elijah Leizear here to
see me. Afternoon a heavy
storm passed north of us &
it rained quite hard here
Charley, Ernest & Minnie
came to spend the night
they took tea at Riverside.
Clarence Leizear from "Ents"
came to have a surgical
inspection & aid having run
against a comrad in a game
of baseball game.

May Friday 27th 1887

We had breakfast about
6 o'clk this a.m. & Charley
Ernest Minnie & Dora went
in the carriage & Willie on
the bicycle to Washington
to witness the "grand parade"
and National Encampment.
they expect to return tomorrow
evening-
A F Fairall was here
for medicine for his
infant sone. This has
been a lovely day but
this evening after dark
it is raining.
