Charley drove away in the
buggy "down county", Jim
Jackson brought R Retzer
over & left him taking
Willie home with him
Jenny Proctor here for advice
& medicine.

62. Clear. S.W.
May, Tuesday 3d. 1887.

I drove to Ashton &
bought a well bucket
& medicine. Axae Worsey
brought Jarrett Lees son
"Fletcher" for advice and
medicine, and paid me
his bill. Charley plowed
the garden over again &
harrowed & "rubbed" it.
Edward went to Ashton with
me & called at "Nelly's".
After dinner I drove down
to Ashton again for garden
seeds & groceries.
I cleaned up & painted my
"force & lift pump". Charley
planted seeds in the garden
Beans, corn, radish & cabbage.
