18o Clear N.W
January Tuesday 18th 1887.

Clear & cold with a strong
N.W. wind. I walked over to
the Lyceum to the "Farmers'
Convention". which was quite
largely attended. Willie brought
his young friend Luther Muncaster
to dine with us and
afternoon they went over to
the convention. Jno (Shipley)
worked at the school house
riddling coal ashes for
Willie. I bought a new
hat for myself, at Sandy
Spring. Was called in
next door to prescribe for
Bessie Robison, who is
threatned with pneumonia.
