62o Rain. E. N.W
Ther. Wed. Oct. 21st, 1885 Wea.

Rained hard from after
midnight until about ten
o'clock this morning. Willie
did not go to school. but
took the carriage over to
Riverside and left it
there for Bro C to bring the
cousins over here & to Fulford:
they were to have
dined here, but the rain
prevented them. I walked
down to Ashton & came home
with Willie who took C
down after dinner.
Made a coal fire in the
new stove in the parlor
it does admirably..
