Ther. Tues. Sept 15th, 1885 Wea.

Sister Harriet left for home
in the stage this morning.
Willie went over to Riverside
in the spring wagon and
got 6 1/2 bushels of oats.
This is an exceedingly lovely
day, much cooler than yesterday,
which was oppressively
hot & close. wheras today is
delightfully cool & bracing.
in the morning at least.
Afternoon Harriet & I went
to "Homewood" and to call
upon Mrs T J Lea. Frederic
Tyson arrived about 5.30 p.m.
from Laurel. to make
me a visit of a few
days. Had some music in
the evening.

Ther. Wed. Sept 16, 1885 Wea.

Sat up very late last night
I felt dull this morning from
want of sleep. Drove F Tyson
to Ashton & back before
dinner. Afternoon I loaned
F T. the horse & buggy & he
drove up to N. Fulford and
to " Joe" Mooers Jr: Levi Hill
here for advice & medicine.
"Neuralgia".
