for us. & "Uncle Henson" to work
in the garden. "Carrie" Johnson
here to have a ring cut off of
her "fore" or index finger. Sent
Willie with bill against the
Albin Gilpin Estate & he
brought me the money for it.
Afternoon Mrs G Matt Bell
brought her infant for advice
lancing its gums &c. Loaned
my guitar to young man at
Gideon Gilpins (Mr "Bolus")

Charley left home at 6.o'clk:
this morning driving Levi
Hills horse & one of B H Miller's
to Millers Germantown with a
party of ladies for an "excursion"
to Luray Cave Va: Via Rockville
to return tonight. Willie
brought some ladies from Harewood
up to Sandy Spring in my carriage
to meet the rest of the party.
Uncle Henson & Annie Rounds both
here again today. Afternoon Willie
went to the river for a swim with
Ed & Joe Gilpin & Sullivan the
telegraph operator. Mrs Alex
Simmonds & Miss Alice Tyson here
for advice & med: for "Governess"
Mrs Rachael E Gilpin called
after supper. Charley got
home at 11.30 p.m. having
had a nice time
