H Brooke, with twelve members present.
After reading the minutes of the last meeting
at this place, the Foreman proposed to walk
out, but the invitation was declined on account
of the cold, and mud, and the minutes of
the last meeting were called for & read.
Pattie K Stabler asked to be released from
serving on the Book Committee. But the
Society not feeling willing to lose her valuable
services, she was continued. Dr. F. Thomas
made a motion that each member of the
Book Club shall assist the committee,
by sending to any one of them, the names
of two or three books, subject to their approval.
Quite a number of the members
of the Book Club complain that the
books are not passed promptly. Nothing
definite was decided on, as to what
course to pursue in the case.
