I have seen the abbreviation Hhs or Hhc in reference to building materials. See Feb. 1846

1846 May 4: "my man" may refer to Big Henry. JWG used the phrase "his man" when JD Hunt died: he collapsed into "his man's" arms. I believe it denotes the highest ranking slave, someone well trusted. I think JWG trusted Big Henry a great deal.
