Teacher's Contract

This Agreement between the Board of Trustees of the Corporation of West Indianapolis school in town Marion County and State of Indiana party of the first part and Clara Sisloff a legally qualified teacher in said County of the second part certifies that the said teacher hereby agrees to teach the public school in District No 3 in said Corporation for the term commencing on the 12 day of September 1892 for the consideration of Fifty Five and no 100 Dollars per month
The said Clara Sisloff further agrees to faithfully perform all the duties of teacher in said school using only such text books as are prescribed by the Board of Trustees in accordance with the law that she will accurately keep and use all registers and blanks placed in her hands by said Board of Trustees and that she will make all reports required of her by said Board of Trustees their agent or the laws of Indiana at the proper time andmanner and in good order that she will exercise due diligence in the preservation of School Buildings Grounds Furniture Apparatus Books Blanks and other school property commited to her care and turn same over to the Board of Trustees at the close of the term of school in as good condition as when received (damage and wear by use excepted)

The Board of Trustees agrees to keep the school buildings in good repair and to furnish the necessary fuel furniture apparatus books and blanks and other such appliances as may be necessary for the systematic and proper conduct of said school

And the said School Board for and in behalf of said Corporation further agrees to pay the said Clara Sisloff for services as teacher of said school a sum equal the whole number of months and fraction of a month taught at the rate of the above named sum per month as above agreed upon when the said teacher shall have filled all the stipulations of this Contract

Provided That in case the said Clara Sisloff should be dismissed from said school by said Board of Trustees for incompetency cruelty gross immorality neglect of business or a violation of any of the stipulations of this Contract or in case her license should expire by limitation or be annulled by the County Superintendent she shall not be entitled to any compensation after notice of dismissal or expiration or annullment of license
