My. Own, Most Cherished Husband,

To my surprise I received another letter from you last night. You mentioned in your previous letter you may not be able to write for weeks so to avoid disappointment I wasn't expecting any for weeks. After I had finished my tea May asked me had I read my letter & when she told me it was from you I couldn't hold a smile back I was so pleased. She told me to stop smiling, she was only being funny.

You apologised for your letter, darling it was lovely. It was short, but you said everything I wanted you to say.

I don't like the sound of your shack, just head high & wild pigs wandering in occasionally, if I come to New Guinea with you darling I certainly hope wild pigs don't find their way into our home, you would be minus your wife, I would die with fright I'm sure.

Yes I was a little worried over you, you know there were times when I was in the W.A.A.F. I didn't get a letter for a couple of months, and I had prepared myself for that again.

I am pleased to hear you are safe & well, take care of yourself darling & be ever so careful.

You know there are only 16 weeks till March, just think of it darling. I am just longing for you to come home to me. You asked me must you wear pyjamas, I would probably want you to take them off if you did. No, darling, you needn't wear them, it is heavenly to snuggle into your arms & feel your body clinging to mine. I am looking forward to our second honeymoon so much,
