My Dearly Beloved Wife,

Today you are a bride of 3 months. My own reaction to this is somewhat like bewilderment. Either I can feel that that happy event happened a lifetime ago or at the latest in pre war days. Only when I piece my memories together chronologically do I realise the truth. It's natural enough I suppose to associate such soulfully happy experiences with peacetime. I've not been used as most have, of war offering a variety of emotions. Except for my one dream-like leave, it's been to me a lifes age of repressed desires, fear, & hard work & worry.
