My darling beloved wife,

It's Sunday morning & my first day of rest for weeks past. At home, the weather we're having would be typical of Xmas.

I reread your 15 lovely letters lying on my bed. There seems a mutual agreement to keep the Sabbath quiet here on our sector - It's hard to believe death stalks during such sleepy, dangerous days as this. However there's peace in your husbands heart. All I need in the way of contentment now, is some romantic music, a few magazines or even "Smith."

I'd have inspiration enough
