My Own Darling Husband,

No letter from you since Friday, and here I am feeling very love sick and lonely. I hope the postman remembers me tomorrow my darling.

You know what, a brainwave struck me yesterday. Most girls seem to have their sweethearts badge, and I havn't got my sweethearts. I thought about it for a little while and an idea struck me, Today I took one of your pips along to a jeweller in Edward St., a nice old chap I was told to go to. He is going to make it into a broach for me and attach a little fine chain with a small silver pin. I went to a place in Elizabeth St, and they put me onto this jeweller. He is going to make the broach and send it around to the first place to be synchronized. Wont it be lovely dear?

I can collect my watch to-morrow. I phoned them about it a couple of times and they told me they couldn't give me a clasp. I will have to buy a couple of leatherbands & make them do.

I have just washed my hair. I couldn't wash it over the
week-end because I worked on Sunday, I had to do it to-night I couldn't bear it any longer. Don't worry about your hair darling, I will soon have it looking lovely when I can have you all to myself.

I am going to buy you some good handkerchiefs, a couple of officers shirts, a tie and a pair of shoes, so you will have every thing nice to step into when you come home.
