and there is nothing bad about you.

I am happy back at work again now, it is really a home away from home. All the work I do is harmless, there isn't much to do just now. Mrs. Cotton is away, can't get a housekeeper to look after the children, has been away a fortnight & her work is piled up. Mr. Cotton took off Wed. mid-day, his old girl friend turned up after 6 years & he was all a dither. He hasn't been back since, he is entertaining her I am thoroughly disgusted. Their section is the most backwards they are both away. I have been trying to help Lorelly out, she doesn't know a thing about their section, and I know very little, so consequently there is not much done. He told me if ever you stayed away for six years I would feel the same as he did. You know darling only the day before he opened up conversation with me about married couples going out with other men & women. I said "it" was wrong & he takes off like that. You know what I think of him, he was only trying me out.

Both Fay & Chang are going to have families, imagine Chang having puppies, I believe she has to be nursed through it.

My book hasn't arrived yet I am anxiously waiting for it. I will have Dad buy you a couple of books next week, he will know what to buy.

I am seriously thinking of taking a course of Cooking & dressmaking at the Polytechnic. The only trouble is I will have to go at night & the negroes are over that side of town. Last night another girl was nabbed. I hate them and wouldn't go anywhere over that side alone.

I haven't any inclination to go anywhere at night. Working all day I am too tired to go dancing. After the dance you took me to I think it a good thing to stay away from them. To-morrow night, (Saturday), May, Stan & I are staying home, bed is the best place dear. I wrote to you nearly every night & promise I will keep it up as I feel much
