My Own Beloved Wife,

I feel much better in health tonight and here I'm writing you again feeling the same strange lonliness as I know before. There's a delightfully cool breeze blowing off the harbour - it's soothing to sit here on the verandah & look out over the palms, the metropolis, & breathe clean fresh air. Nights like this bring out the romance in me.
So I sit and dream of my wonderful wife & sometimes I just sit. Again at my elbow is your portrait & in my folder is the flower you gave me on our last lovely night.
