Meeting of the Tuesday club. April 26, 1927.
The regular meeting of the Tuesday club was
held on April 26th. Miss Minnie Gilbert,
chairman of the Home economics committee,
introduced Miss S. Agnes Donham of the Garland
school of Housemaking. Miss Donham, assist-
ed by Mrs. Gladys B. Jones, through the medium
of a playlet, have us her ideas for budgeting
an income of $5000. After the fixed charge
of income tax + of the premium on life in-
surance were deducted, she divided the work-
ing income into five parts, under the headings,
shelter, operating expenses, food, clothing + devel-
opment, discussing each little item in detail
+ suggesting where economics might be prac-
tised. The little play proved to be very in-
teresting as well as instructuve. At the end
of the hours, all adjourned to the Loring-
Greenough house for the tea. Mrs. Adolph J.
Lins, Mrs. Chas. Williams, Mrs. Herbert D. Boyd
+ Mrs. Edmund J. Baker served the punch.
