[Received Jun 18 1945 Presidents Office]
1st. Lt. Horace A [Weber?] Stanford (1933)
ASN 0-305372
Company E 394 Infantry Regiment
APO 449
c/o Postmaster, New York, New York
1. I may return to Stanford.
2. Should I return, I would want: a. A
brief refresher in recent (from 1941) law trends and
decisions. b. A refresher course in practice and
procedures, with practical work combined with
case work and lectures.
3. At my age (35), with my family responsibiities,
I could not afford more than three
months of intensive study. I would want
housing for my family and myself.
4. Extra-curricular activities are immaterial, save
a few social gatherings to introduce similar
students.
Comments: Stanford could greatly aid former
professional men who were independently employed
before entering the service by starting a Stanford
intra-graduate employment service, for it’s
logical many men of advancing agewill find
it impossible to undergo a “starvation period”
in order to re-establish them themselves. Too, Stanford
could keep returning graduatesinformed of
openings in private, city, state, and federal departments.
