pamphlet on Genl. Gordon, so as to make
a permanent record of the base
treatment which he received at
the hands of the Great Old Malefactor
(as Professor Tyndall called Gladstone
in a letter to me at the time).
I appended to it Miss Gordon's letter, 1890,
thanking me for the pamphlet
which so "accorded with her feelings
