Just a line to acknowledge
your kind letter. I take small
note paper - one reason being that I
may thus fail to weary you by too
many words. I saw both Jamie
and Jack. Jamie dropped in at my
house on Saturday 20th. I was just sitting
down with a local Major to 6 O'clock dinner
before the first of Shakespeare readings
