My dear Mrs Onslow
I was greatly pleased when
I saw Camden Park on the envelope
which contained your charming
letter of the 3rd August so full
of interest to me. My good
sister Mrs Scott had long been
ready for the summons which came
at last in the manner she desired,
(calmly) in her sleep. She had
long been physically disabled, though
she sent me a pair of worsted
cuffs knitted by herself a fortnight
before her death, and in speech and
most cheerful and bright conversation
she was alert to the last.
Unable to see well enough to write
she dictated a lively letter to me
when she sent me the cuffs. Two
daughters were with her when
she passed to the world for which she
was so welll prepared; and I feel
